We Believe
The Holy Scripture
We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God. "All Scripture is giveby inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness" (II Timothy 3:16). Because the Bible is God-breathed, it is the infallible final authority in all matters in life and conduct. Therefore, not one word shall be added or taken away from the Word of God (II Peter 1:19-21, Deuteronomy 6: 6-9).
The One True God
Our God is revealed in the Scripture as the Eternal Triune Godhead, existing in three persons- The Father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit. The Trinity is distinguishable but indivisible in essence: co-eternal, co-existent, co-equal in nature, attributes, power, and glory (Deuteronomy 6:4, Isaiah 48:16, Matthew 28:19, Ephesians 4: 4-6 ).
The Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ
The Lord Jesus Christ is the Eternal Son of God, the second member of the Godhead, who pre-existed with the Father and the Holy Spirit. Through the Virgin Birth, Jesus took upon Himself the form of man, thus revealing himself as the God-Man. He is the perfect Mediator between God and Man because in the person of Christ he is the fully divine and fully human. (Colossians 1:1-3, 13-18, Philippians 2:5-8, I Timothy 2: 5,6, St. John 1:1-3, 14-18). " I am the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty" (Revelation 1:8).
The Holy Spirit and His Baptism
The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Godhead. He is co-equal and co-existent with the Father and with the Son. The Holy Spirit's purpose is to convict the world of sin and draw the hearts of man to salvation through Jesus Christ. ( John 16: 7-15) The Holy Spirit is the comforter and teacher who stands along side and helps us walk with the Lord ( John 14: 16-26). Additionally, the Holy Spirit is our intercessor who prays for us according to the will of God with groanings that cannot be uttered (Romans 8: 26, 27). The Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the initial evidence of speaking with other tongues is a gift from God given to all believers and is received subsequent to and in addition to the new birth ( Acts 2:4, Matthew 3: 11, Acts 1:8).
The Redemption of Man
In the beginning God created man in His likeness and image (Genesis 1:26). Man was created immortal and in perfect relationship with God. Because of Adam and Eve's sin, man fell, and death came upon all men. As a result, man needed a redeemer. Jesus Christ is our redeemer and brought us back into right relationship with the Father through His shed blood on calvary. Salvation is free to all who come to Him by faith and receive Him as Lord. The redemptive work of Christ provides for not only forgiveness of sins, but also for physical healing and prosperity. We believe that the blood Jesus Christ is sufficient to cleanse us from all sin ( Romans 5: 12-21, Romans: 9,10, John 3: 16, 17 I John 3:8).
Sanctification
Santification is an immediate and progessive work of God's Grace in our hearts.
God is Holy, and all who are in Him are made holy through the blood of Jesus that cleanses us from all sin. " But of him are in you in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us righteousnes, sanctification, and redemption" (I Corinthians 1: 30 Titus 3:4-7).Home | We Believe | Bible Studies | Contact | Links
