The Apostle Paul presents Christ as the image of the invisible God. This verse lays the foundation that Christ is God. Verse 16 says, "For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible, and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him and for Him. " Christ is the creator not the created. Some may teach that Christ is a created being like the angels. However, this verse clearly tells us that Christ created the angels. St. John 1: 1-5 states that all things were made by Him and without Him nothing was made. If Christ is the creator of all things, then His word has created all things.
